Congruence Bias (Why do we avoid testing our initials beliefs?)
The Congruence Bias, a brief explanation
What is the Congruence Bias?
The congruence bias is the tendency for people to rely on their original idea or belief (or hypothesis) whilst neglecting to consider a new idea (or test a new hypothesis) as people rarely try to disprove their own initials belief about something.

Example
In marketing whilst trying to develop an effective marketing strategy to sell a produce you may find that one marketing strategy does not work but persist in its use rather than trying a new strategy.
