What is the puffery doctrine?
The puffery doctrine is the tendency to exaggerate your claims when trying to sell or promote a product.

Examples
If you work for a publishing house when selling a new book you may promote it as the best book on the topic.
When promoting a food at your business you may say that your food is the best in the country.
